A fire has broken out at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel
in Mumbai, one of the buildings at the centre of last month's
terrorist attack on the city.
The blaze affected a restaurant on the 21st floor
of the new wing of the historic hotel.
A witness alerted police and fire officials who immediately rushed
to the scene.
"I had come to see the Taj Hotel. Then I saw smoke coming
out from the last floor and called up to inform the police, then
I informed the fire brigade," Sureesh Banerjee said.
"They came within 15-20 minutes. The fire was very huge."
