CNN television producer Chez Pazienza, who started penning
a popular bog while he was recovering from a brain tumour, has
been fired.
Pazienza said that following his operation, he had been feeling
that telly had been losing its direction and he used to bog,
using the Huffington Post as an outlet for his 'iconoclastic
tendencies'.
The bog got a bit of attention and while his television career
was doing quite well, no one at CNN noticed the Huffington Post.
Then Pazienza got a call from his boss, Ed Litvak who said
that his name had been attached to some 'opinionated posts'.
A day later he was fired for writing for a "non-CNN outlet".
Apparently CNN insisted that his bog had to be run through the
network's "standards and practices" department.

Pazienza pointed out that the rule was vague, and failed to
mention bogs, which was odd for an outfit that pretended to
be internet aware.
The HR person said that he was the only person who was bogging
under his own name, something that Pazienza thought was funny
as he could name five others.
Apparently CCN has a Stasi-like unit whose job is to troll
the internet looking for things its employees are up to, the
HR person told him. These others would be found and fired too
HR told him it was not so much the fact that he had a bog,
but what he has been putting in it. In other words things that
CNN did not like to hear.
Heaven forbid if CNN hired individuals.
